It’s Been A While

Well, the last year or so as been quite the ride.  We’ve had some familiar faces move on and some bright, young faces join the team.  We’ve been extremely busy on client projects and unfortunately the blog posts were an easy target for freeing up more time for client work.  Here are just a couple of examples of the types of project that have kept us so busy:

  • Bridge balancing of the Broadway Bridge in downtown Portland (the largest Rall Wheel bridge in the world)
  • Cable tensioning on the Grant street Pier located at the new waterfront development across the river in Vancouver
  • Designing/build PLC controlled automation equipment for small parts manufacturing
  • Analyzing weld defects in pipelines (Here’s one example)
  • Strain gaging on composite helicopter rotor blades for flight testing (See picture below)

Some of these projects will show up on the projects page while other may become future blog posts.  I’m excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for us and, as always, feel free to give us a shout if there is anything we can do help with a project you’re working on or even if you just want to chat about something you’ve seen here on the website.

Thanks, Rob

P.S.  Be sure to check out the Vancouver waterfront development later this year when it opens.  We hear there are going to be multiple restaurants/brewpubs with great views of the Columbia.  Here’s a link: https://thewaterfrontvancouverusa.com/
